Mardi Gras Parade

This year's Mardi Gras theme was History of the World. In keeping with this theme, the Sisters set upon the title Bad Habits Through the Years. This was used to showcase the many and varied habits which sisters have lovingly created and worn throughout the years of the Sydney house, noting the year and location of the first appearance of the many and varied habits.

For the participants, the parade is a culmination of months of planning, and creativity as floats are designed, built and costumes created and made ready.

Sydney's Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras parade is the biggest night time parade in the world, and brings visitors from all over Australia and indeed the world.

Mustering begins several hours before the parade is due to begin, and many participants take the opportunity to mix mingle and enjoy the growing community excitement as last minute preparations are carried out.
