Mardi Gras Workshop Blessing
Saturday 12th December 2015

On Saturday 12th December the Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence gathered at the new, temporary, workshop of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
Whilst waiting for the ceremony to take place the Sisters enjoyed a short perambulation to a local purveyor of coffee and nibbly bits, much to be amusement or perhaps bemusement of a few of the locals.

The Sisters are always overjoyed to be asked, again and again to bestow blessings on a new home for the workshop in the lead up to the premier event on the Mardi Gras calendar each year.
A small but enthusiastic group of community volunteers and visitors gathered for this year’s blessing by the Sisters, who wish everyone involved a season of joyous comradery, flowing inspiration, and an abundance of energy and enthusiasm.

Thanks to Liz and the team for once again inviting the Sisters to bless the workshop.  We wish you all the very best for the 2016 Mardi Gras Festival season. Blessed indeed would it be if a permanent home could be found for this most hard working bunch of community volunteers.

Today was also a very auspicious occasion for Novice Sister Catheter of the Sacred Immaculate Ejaculate, being his first habited manifestation with the Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence and it is with delight that the Sisters welcome him to the fold.
