Mardi Gras Medical Blessing

Fair Day

Victoria Park Camperdown - Sunday 16th February 2020

The Sisters were delighted and honoured to receive a request for a blessing of the Mardi Gras Medical Team and their workspace.

This group of wonderful people, who volunteer their time and dedicate their professionally based skillsets to the care of other people and the Gathered Faithful who are part of our Rainbow community, must surely rate high among the unsung heroes of the Mardi Gras festival.

These volunteers stand at the ready to treat, guide, counsel, console, bandage, bind and medicate all manner of woes that any passing member of the Gathered Faithful may present upon entering and passing through the hallowed flaps of the Mardi Gras Medical tent, confident that they have entered a safe and caring space that shall treat them with dignity and respect, making the greatest of efforts to mend their medical maladies and broken wings - so they can party another day.

From treating sun burn to re-affixing a demanding Diva’s broken false nail, broken heel and everything beyond. We salute your care and capability in your deportment and delivery of these special carer services that you provide tirelessly and with good humour.
