Thursday 27th February 2025
Thursday 27th February saw the Sisters of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence gather at Circular Quay to meet and greet members of the gathered faithful who were going to join them on their annual visitation to Taronga Zoo, held each year to coincide with the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival.
Once gathered inside the old main entrance, attendees were met by the wonderful zoo staff and volunteers where introductions were made and the gathered faithful were given a rundown of the morning’s activities. This was followed with an opportunity for an up and close encounter with some of the zoo’s inhabitants.
As always the tour culminated in the free flight bird show followed by an opportunity for members of the gathered faithful to join the Sisters for lunch, libation and merriment at one of the zoo's restaurants.
The Sisters humbly extend a very big thank you to Leanne and all of the keepers and volunteers who helped make the visit such a memorable one for all. The Sisters hope to see you all back next year!
