Thursday 26th February 2026
On 26 February the Sisters gathered on the bustling Circular Quay for early morning sacraments, each keeping one eye out for some salty meat, though sadly the fleet was not in. Undeterred, we joined the gathered faithful and set sail for Taronga Zoo, an annual pilgrimage lovingly led by Ryan and Lee, two of our most devoted supporters.
We met a cheeky young possum before winding our way through the paths, learning about Australia’s beautiful wildlife. Sister Rowena was, as always, close at hand to advise how each beloved creature might best be transformed into a questionable culinary delight. Naturally, we paid our respects to the dingos, our sacred totem and ever watchful guides.
The day wrapped up with the bird show, followed by a spirited gathering at the zoo bar where layers and inhibitions were joyfully shed. A truly wonderful day with wonderful people, and the rain held off just long enough for us to finish… how blessed.
