On Saturday 28th February 2026 six members of the Sydney House of the Order of Perpetual Indulgence walked in the Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade.
The Sisters gathered in the marshalling area, quickly mobbed for photos as the inspirational beauties that we are. Sacraments were shared, stories exchanged with the gathered faithful, and eyes very much appreciated the beautifully toned, half naked bodies surrounding us.
From there we made our way to the starting line and stepped out onto Oxford Street, beneath the watchful gaze of the gathered faithful, message in hand.
Walking were Sister Rowena Keeper of the Holy Doyley, Sister Ophelia Ring, Sister Eileen Dover of The Double Cross, Novice Sister Mary Arse Licked and Old Lace, Novice Pastor Al Dente, & Novice Sister Verandah Gobbie.
Our message?
"NO TO THE FAR RIGHT!"
An image of Thomas Sewell silenced with a pink rainbow pacifier said more than words ever could. Hate is not welcome here! Extremism is not welcome here!
The Sisters say no. Just say no!
No to the far right in this country we love.
Yes to our beautiful LGBTQIA+ community.
Yes to joy.
Yes to solidarity.
